The Union Territory of Puducherry recorded 47 new COVID-19 cases after screening 3,827 persons, during the last 24 hours. While 47 new cases were recorded, 31 patients got cured and discharged,  as per the statistics released by the Health Department. No death was reported today.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Currently, there are 373 active cases, including 162 in hospitals and 211 under home quarantine. The total number of people tested so far had reached 4,98,724 in the Union Territory. The overall tally stands at 38,300 cases with 635 deaths. With this, the total recovery rate stands at 97.37 per cent and the fatality rate has come down to 1.66 per cent.</span><br />
