In Puducherry, all arrangements have been made for counting of votes which will start at 8.00 A.M in the morning on Friday amidst tight security. There are four counting centres in the U.T. of Puducherry, one each in Puducherry, Karaikal, Mahe and Yanam. According to the District Election Officer, G. Rakesh Chandra, the entire counting process would be completed by Friday afternoon. The counting process will be supervised by 12 Observers. The administration has issued a Prohibitory Order under Section 144 CrPC and dry day has been declared in the U.T. of Pondicherry on Friday.
