Puducherry Legislative Assembly adjourned sine-die after six-day Budget Session

<span style="color: #222222;">The Puducherry Legislative Assembly adjourned sine-die today after a six-day Budget Session from 20th of July. Following the Opposition N R Congress legislator N S J Jayabal tested positive for the COVID-19, the session came to a sudden close today.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"><br />''AIR Correspondent reports that without any discussion, Ministers moved the demands for grant of their respective departments. It was later passed. The Chief Minister then informed the house that a draft bill seeking 50 per cent seats in private medical colleges for the government was sent to the Centre for approval. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Once approval was granted the Assembly will be convened and the bill passed. Finally, the Finance Bill was passed in the house and Speaker Sivaklunthu adjourned the house sine-die. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">For the first time in the history of Puducherry, the Assembly Session was conducted in an open place inside the Assembly Complex building. </span><br />''
