Puducherry: Downward trend in Covid-19 continues with 16 new cases, the lowest in recent months

<span style="color: #222222;">In Puducherry, the downward trend in Covid-19 infection continued  with 16 new cases, the lowest in the recent months, being reported today.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">According to the COVID 19 status report given by the health department, 9 new cases reported from Puducherry, each one case from Karaikal and Yanam regions and 5 cases reported from Mahe region. No case of death has been reported today.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Meanwhile, as many as  46 persons were discharged from hospitals.21 of them were from Puducherry region,12 from Karaikal, 4 from Yanam and 9 from Mahe region. Presently, 210 persons are being treated in hospitals and another 304 positive cases are under home isolation in all the four regions of the union territory.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">And now the recovery rate stands at 96.95 per cent and the fatality rate comes down to 1.65 per cent.</span><br />''  <br />
