<span style="color: #222222;">In Puducherry the covid 19 recovery rate stands at 81.69 percent, and the fatality rate is 1.85 percent as on today and the number of new cases has shown a declining trend for the last few days.<br />'' <br />'' Today 343 more persons were tested positive for the Coronavirus Disease and 5 &nbsp;died &nbsp;leaving 4787 active cases here. 419 &nbsp;persons were discharged from various hospitals of the four regions. Presently, 1643 persons are being treated in hospitals and another &nbsp;3144 positive cases are under home isolation in the union territory. So far, 29089 persons were infected by the virus of which 23763 were treated and discharged and &nbsp;539 died leaving &nbsp;4787 active cases here.<br />'' <br />''Meanwhile, the civil service examinations are held in 8 centres in Puducherry union territory. 2 thousand 9 hundred and 13 candidates appeared for the examination. The &nbsp;transport corporation has made elaborate bus facilities for the candidates from Villupuram, Cuddalore and Karaikal to Puducherry centres.As for as the other relaxations are concerned, &nbsp;the Director of school education Mr. Rudra Gowd &nbsp;said that the schools are opening &nbsp;on 5th October, but the classes will be from October 8 only. October,5,6 and 7 will &nbsp;be utilized for preparatory works like cleaning the premises, arranging sanitizers and thermal scanner etc. Classes will be for 9th ,10th,11th and 12th standards. He further said that attendance will not be taken and students &nbsp;have to attend with the consent of their parents. More bars are already opened here and Cinema houses could start functioning from October 18 with 50 percent seat capacity.</span><br />
