<span style="color: #222222;">In the Union Territory of Puducherry Covid-19 cases continued to surge for the last few days. Out of 2344 swabs tested 1213 cases turned positive in the last 24 hours ending at 10am today. Puducherry region reported the maximum fresh cases with 1100 followed by Karaikal 93, Mahe 17 and Yanam 3. 84 persons were discharged from the  hospitals. 2 died in Mahe region.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Presently, 123 persons are being treated in hospitals and another 6662 positive cases are under home isolation, with a total number of 6785 cases here. The case recovery rate has come down to 93.65 from 98.45 % and the positivity rate increased to 51.75 percent from 0.65 % on December 30 th 2021. As many as  14 , 95 , 877 persons were inoculated including the second dose and about 1954 booster doses also. </span>
