<span style="color: #222222;">In the Union Territory of Puducherry the downward trend in COVID-19 infection continued with 34 new cases, being reported today.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">AIR Correspondent reports, the health department statistics revealed that 22 new cases reported from puducherry, 8 from Karaikal, 4 cases from Mahe region. No death has been reported from the 4 regions of the Union Territory, today.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Meanwhile, 35 persons were discharged from hospital. Presently, 157 persons are being treated in hospitals and another 215 positive cases are under home isolation with a total of 372 cases in the Union Territory. And now the recovery rate stands at 97.37 per cent and the fatality rate comes down to 1.66 per cent.</span><br />''  <br />
