In Puducherry, Mr.A.K.D.Arumugam was announced as the Congress candidate from Indra nagar constituency for the October 13 By-election. The AIADMK candidate Mr.V.Bhaskaran filed his nomination papers today.The NR congress has not announced its candidate so far. The Chief Minister and the NR congress leader Mr.Rangasamy, who won both the Indra nagar and Kathirkammam constituencies during the April assembly elections, had subsequently resigned the Indra nagar seat necessitating the by-election.
