In Puducherry, Chief Minister N.Rangaswamy held discussions with senior officials on the damages caused by the continuing rain. The incessant rain has flooded several low lying areas and has damaged crops in several hundred acres in Puducherry and Karaikal. State Ministers Rajavel and Paneerselvam have visited the affected areas and have made an on the spot assessment.Chief Minister has also instructed officials of the agricultural department to survey villages and submit a report on the damages to the standing crop. Puducherry District Collector Deepak Kumar, Director Agriculture, Satyaseelan were among those who attended the meeting.
