Puducherry Chief Minister V.Narayanasamy has asked the Centre to clarify on medical admission procedures.<br/><br/>Meeting the press on the sidelines of a private college convocation at Tiruvannamalai in neighboring Tamil Nadu, he said the Union Territory has got 1000 medical seats. <br/><br/>15 percent of the seats have been handed over to the central pool as mandated and 283 seats filled up by the Centralized Admission Committee of the Puducherry Administration – CENTAC by following its own norms. <br/><br/>Mr Narayanasamy said the Centre has to give instructions on how to fill up the rest of the seats, as confusion prevails after making the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test mandatory.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, former Union Health Minister and the PMK youth wing leader Dr Anbumani Ramadoss has said, private medical institutes in the state are manipulating the NEET-based admission norms to their advantage and have hiked the tuition and capitation fees manifold. <br/><br/>In a statement issued in Chennai, he urged the Centre to evolve a single-window admission system covering private colleges as well.
