In Puducherry, Chief Minister N.Rangasamy who also holds the finance portfolio will present the budget for the current year in the assembly today. The presentation of the full budget had been delayed as the plan size for union territory had not been finalized, and the house had passed the Vote on Account Bill earmarking funds for the first four months. With the Planning Commission having pegged the plan size for 2012-2013 at 3,000 crore rupees, the Chief Minister is all set to table the second full budget after assuming power. AIR correspondent reports that the session is expected to be a stormy one with the opposition likely to raise the regional reservation in admission to professional colleges, hike in VAT on various goods and deterioration in law and order.
