The Budget session of the Puducherry Assembly begins on the 18th of this month with Lt. Governor Mr Iqbal Singh’s customary address to the house. The official notification for the session was issued this evening by Assembly Secretary, Mr Sivaprakasam.Our correspondent reports that this is the first budget of Rangaswamy led government. Earlier in February, the then Chief Minister Mr Vaithialingam had presented an interim budget making financial allocations for the first six months of the financial year.
