The budget session of the Puducherry Assembly begins today. The session starts with the customary address of the Lt. Governor Dr. Iqbal Singh. The Opposition Parties are likely to take up the issues like removal of part-time Government Employees, hike in VAT, delay in distribution of relief to victims of Thane Cyclone, violence in Yanam region etc. The session is expected to be a stormy one.
