In Puducherry, 93 persons were tested positive for the CoronaVirus Disease and one person died in the last 24 hours. According to the COVID-19 status report released by the Health Department, 82 cases were reported in the Puducherry region and 11 in Karaikal. As many as 111 patients were treated and discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours.<br />'' <br />'' Director of Medical Services Dr. Mohan Kumar said that a 73- year old woman died yesterday in the Government Medical College. She was admitted to the hospital on 9th of July and was with severe COVID Pneumonia with respiratory failure.<br />'' <br />'' As on date, 2,092 persons were infected by the virus, of which 1,265 were treated and discharged and 29 died, leaving 798 active cases in hospitals. There are no COVID cases in Mahe region of the Union Territory. <br />
