The Pudhucherry Assembly today passed the Vote-on-Account for the first six months for the financial year 2014-15, through voice vote. Since the annual plan outlay for the Union Territory has not been finalised by the Planning Commission, Chief Minister, N.Rangasamy, who holds the finance portfolio presented the vote on account for 2,550 crore rupees. This is to meet the expenditure on salaries, wages, pension and other unavoidable expenses.The House also has passed the Appropriation Bill, 2014 and Supplementary Demands for Grants for the Year 2013-14.Earlier opposition Congress and AIADMK members staged walk out for holding the session with out the customary address of the Lt.Governor.After the 40 minute of business, the Speaker Mr.Sabhapathy adjourned the house sine-die.
