In Nepal, public transports have remained off the road on Thursday with various transport organizations and associations calling for a nationwide strike. Normal life have been affected as all public transport , taxi services in long distance and short routes are not running. The Transporters have put forward a list of 41 demands to the government which include a hike in fare, cancelling of custom exemption to co-operatives while buying taxis and a separate Transport Ministry. The strike was called following failure of talks on Tuesday. The government has called upon the transporters to call off their strike as another round of talks is to be held on Thursday afternoon.
