<span style="color: #222222;">The public response to Namma Metro rail service in Bengaluru has remained poor since purple and green lines opened in the last few days. <br />''<br />''The metro services that catered to over six lakh people every day before the lockdown had just 14,438 passengers yesterday. The train services are functioning from morning 8.00 am to 11.00 am and 4.30 pm to 7.30 pm. To maintain social distancing only 400 people were allowed to travel in the six coach train that usually carries 2000 passengers. <br />''<br />''The Chief Public Relations officer in Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation, Yeshwanth Chavan informed that the response from the public is gradually increasing by the day as confidence about the safety of the services are established through word of mouth. <br />''<br />''He informed that the services will be expanded tomorrow when the metro services will be available from 7.00 am to 9.00pm. </span><br />
