Public expenditure on education increased from 4.07 percent in 2014-15 to 4.39 percent in 2019-20: Dharmendra Pradhan in RS

<span style="color: #222222;">A record budget of more than one lakh crore rupees has been allocated for the education sector for the upcoming financial year 2022-23. This was stated by Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha today. He said, public expenditure on education has grown continuously in the country in recent years. He said, public expenditure on education was 4.07 percent in 2014-15 which has grown to 4.39 percent of GDP in 2019-20. The Minister said, the Centre and States are working together to increase the public investment in the education sector to reach six percent of Gross Domestic Product.   </span><br />
