PSLV success makes India self-reliant in space technology: Director

The success rate of PSLV, is playing a major role in making the country self-reliant in space technology. B. Jayakumar, Project Director, PSLV Mission said various quarters had, of late, expressed their confidence and readiness to send their payloads with India's space missions and it was definitely owing to the high success rate of PSLV.<br/><br/>Speaking at a seminar organised by the Regional Science Centre and Planetarium in association with the Swadeshi Science Movement at Kozhikode in Kerala, Jayakumar said the success also brings in large revenue to the country, playing a major role in making it increasingly self-reliant in space technology, since revenue is a crucial factor as far as self-reliance is concerned. He said the Chandrayan II mission of India is steadily progressing. The successful trials of the Space Capsule Recovery had infused a great amount of confidence among space scientists in the country.
