Provisions of NEP-2020 to be implemented in North-Eastern States at earliest: Education Minister

<span style="color: #222222;">Union Minister of Education Dharmendra Pradhan today attended the North East Education Conclave at Guwahati to discuss and deliberate on various aspects of National Education Policy-2020(NEP-2020) and develop a roadmap for successful implementation in this region.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> <br />'' Addressing the gathering, Pradhan said that the provisions of the NEP-2020 will be implemented in the North-Eastern states at the earliest and would provide multidisciplinary and holistic education in the local languages or in the mother tongue of a student at the early stages of learning. He added, this  NEP has given a new pathway on mother tongue, every language will get its importance and it will prove that diversity of our language is the unifying factor of our civilization.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"><br />'' The Union Minister said there is a need to generate employability   under the NEP-2020 vocation education will be part of our education curriculum. He informed that there will be Special Education Zone (SEZ) like the industrial sector under this Policy.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> <br />'' According to Pradhan, the NEP-2020 will strengthen the learning landscape and will make education more vibrant and disadvantages can be turned into advantages through it.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"><br />'' Speaking on the occasion, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswas Sarma said that the NEP-2020 is the reflection of our rich culture, civilization and to reestablish our country's past glory and is prepared to fit the current environment of the world.  </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"><br />'' Education Ministers of North Eastern states, UGC & AICTE Chairman and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.</span><br />''
