<span style="color: #222222;">The government has said that provisions of fundamental rules 56 (J) and similar provisions have been invoked against 170 government officers in the last two years.<br />''<br />'' Under these provisions, the government has the absolute rights to retire any government servant in the public interest. This was stated by the Minister of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions Dr. Jitendra Singh in a written reply in the Lok Sabha today. He said, provisions of fundamental rules 56(J) and similar provisions were invoked against 90 Group A officers and 80 Group B officers within the last two years.</span><br />
