Government says providing market access to farmers for selling farm produce at remunerative prices is one of the biggest challenges facing the country. Speaking at a function in New Delhi today, Agriculture Secretary P K Basu said that farmers should be assured of selling their produce in markets. He added that providing adequate infrastructure and inputs like seeds, fertilizers and latest technology and bridging yield gaps are also some of the major challenges.
