Provide Sachan’s post mortem report to family: HC to UP Govt

In Uttar Pradesh, the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court today asked the state government to provide the post mortem report of Dr. YS Sachan, to his family members. Dr. Y.S Sachan the main accused in the murder of two Chief Medical Officers at Lucknow was found dead on in the lucknow district jail two days ago. While hearing a writ petition filed by Dr. Malti Sachan the wife of Dr. Sachan the court directed for approaching regular court for direction for CBI probe into Dr. Sachan's mysterious death. The vacation bench disposed of the application and said the regular court may hear the petition on the 18th of next month.AIR Lucknow correspondent reports that, the State Human Rights Commission has meanwhile, issued notices to five senior most officials of the state government including Chief Secretary, Home Secretary, District Magistrate Lucknow, District Police Chief and Additional Director General Jail in connection with mysterious death of Dr. Sachan. The Commission has asked them to reply whether his death was a case of suicide or murder. They have been asked to file their response by the 12th of next month. Meanwhile, the cremation of the dead body of Dr. Sachan was carried out today by the family members after obtaining the autopsy report. Earlier, they had opposed the cremation till a CBI inquiry has been ordered into the death. The State government has rejected the demand of CBI probe into mysterious death of Dr. YS Sachan. Our correspondent reports, the State Cabinet secretary has accepted that the cause of death was massive bleeding and nine wounds have been found on the dead body in post mortem. Alleging the ruling Bahujan Samaj Party for shielding the guilty as its leaders were involved in the case all major opposition parties have demanded a CBI probe into the incident. State Congress has said it would seek the intervention of the judiciary for a CBI probe. Dr. Sachan was held in the Lucknow Jail since April 5 and was found dead under mysterious circumstances on Wednesday night in a toilet of the hospital in the jail premises.
