Defence Minister Arun Jaitley has asked the corporate sector to tap the huge pool of ex-servicemen and provide them jobs, so that they can contribute to development of the country. Describing the ex-servicemen as highly trained and skilled manpower, Mr Jaitley said, corporate players should come forward and utilize services of the personnel whose dedication is unmatched and have exemplary discipline. Addressing a corporate conclave organised by Directorate General of Resettlement in New Delhi today, Jaitley said, the Sadbhavna operation in Jammu and Kashmir is an example of the credentials of ex-servicemen to run corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities of private companies.Speaking on the occasion, Air Chief Arup Raha said, the corporate sector can harness competencies of the ex-servicemen and forge a mutually beneficial partnership. He said, absorbing the ex-servicemen will go a long way in boosting growth of the sector.
