Protestors take part in anti Govt protests in Libya & Yemen

Protests continue in Libya and Yemen as Bahrain security forces intensify crackdown on protesters.In Libya, Anti-Government protests were reported from several cities in the state, including the second largest city, Benghazi, on what demonstrators are calling A Day of Rage. US-based human rights watch said, Libyan security forces arrested at least 13 people. Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International are calling for the release of all activists who were detained to prevent them from participating in demonstrations. Some gunshots were reportedly fired. Reports say the protests have spread to other parts of the country, mainly two cities east and south of Tripoli.In Yemen, thousands of protesters calling for the ouster of President Ali Abdullah Saleh rallied across the country yesterday, the seventh day of the demonstrations. There were several outbreaks of violence. Activists have called for protests today which, they say, would be a Day of Rage in Yemen. In Bahrain, authorities have banned public gatherings and increased security in the country after the unrest that killed five anti-government protesters. More than 200 people were injured in the incidents. Bahrain's streets are empty after the clampdown. Justifying the action Bahrain’s Foreign Minister Khalid Al Khalifa said that it was necessary because the demonstrators were polarizing the country and pushing it to the brink of the sectarian abyss. to reporters after an emergency meeting with his Gulf counterparts in Manama to discuss the unrest, he called the violence regrettable, and said the deaths would be investigated.US Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton has expressed Washington's deep concern and urged restraint. Similar criticism came from Britain and the European Union, and Human Rights Watch urging Bahraini authorities to order security forces to stop attacks on peaceful protesters Meanwhile, news reports say, former Tunisian President, Zine El Aidine Ben Ali, is in grave condition in a hospital in Saudi Arabia. The 74-year old Ben Ali fled to the Red Sea city of Jeddah after bring ousted in a popular revolt in Tunisia in January.
