Former Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister and DMK Treasurer M K Stalin was arrested at Tiruvarur today. Stalin along with many party workers was arrested for road blockade. They were protesting the arrest of DMK district secretary Poondi Kalaivanan.Later, he was released.Speaking to reporters, Stalin said that the arrests made all over Tamil Nadu were to sabotage the protest strike on Monday announced by the DMK. He said decision on further action would be taken by party chief M Karunanidhi. Sporadic protests were reported in many parts of Tamil Nadu as news spread about the arrest.
