Protests against the military government in Myanmar continued on Friday even as supporters of the ousted State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi clashed with police. The mass protests on Friday were mostly peaceful but were the largest so far, reports the Reuters. Three people were injured when police fired rubber bullets to disperse protesters in the Southeastern city of Mawlamyine about 465 kilometres south of the capital city Naypyitaw. Police charged at protesters after they threw stones at them.<br />''<br />''Doctors marked their support to the Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM) by marching in their white coats past the Shwedagon pagoda in Yangon. Demonstrations also took place in the capital city Naypyitaw, coastal town Dawei and the capital city of Kachin state Myitkyina among many others.<br />''<br />''Protests were also held on Friday in front of the Russian embassy in Yangon.
