Protesters have clashed with police in the Sudanese capital Khartoum during anti-government demonstrations which are thought to have been inspired by uprising in neighbouring Egypt. The protesters complained about rising food prices and called on Sudan's long serving President Omar Bashir to resign. Police used tear gas to disperse crowds and arrested dozens of people.
