The protest held by farmers' unions in the state today, he added, has not received support from people.<br />''<br />''Terming the protests as politically motivated, he said action will be taken against those trying to disrupt law and order in the state.<br />''<br />''Reacting to the farmers union protest in the state, the agriculture minister B C Patil said that the new farm laws will rescue the farmers from the clutches of middlemen, end exploitation, provide wider market to the farmers and allow the private traders to lift the agri produce from the fields of the farmers. He pointed out that the Congress party manifesto had proposed the same laws in 2019 and had promised disbanding of APMC yards in the country. He also pointed out that Bharat Kisan Union which is now protesting the new Act had in previous years held protests to free the farmers from the exploitation by middlemen.</span><br />
