In Andhra Pradesh, protest demonstrations continued in Rayalaseema and Coasta Andhra regions in favour of Unified State even as the bandh called by the Joint Action Committee of all parties passed off more or less peacefully in these regions on Saturday. Lok Sabha Congress Member L. Ragagopal, who has been on indefinite hunger strike in favour of Unified State, has been shifted to hospital by force following deteriorating health conditions. Police said he is continuing his fast even in hospital. Tension prevailed in Vijayawada city as supporters of unified state have staged protests.<br/>Commuters faced hardships on Vijayawada-Hyderabad National Highway as agitators erected road blockades due to bandh observed in several parts of Rayalaseema and Coasta Andhra regions. Normal life came to stand still at several places in the regions. Meanwhile, the Bus Yaatra launched by TDP legislators and MPs from Rayalaseema and Coasta regions reached Ananthapur on Saturday.
