Gunman in the Pakistani capital Islamabad have killed the special prosecutor investigating the murder of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto.

Chaudhary Zulfiqar Ali was shot dead in front of his home. He was critically injured and was rushed to hospital where he succumbed to injuries.

Eight people are accused in the assassination case of Benazir Bhutto in 2007 including former Pakistan President Parvez Musharraf.
