Advisory Committee of Indira Gandhi Award for National Integration has invited proposals for 27th Indira Gandhi Award for National Integration by 31st of next month.

The award is given for promoting National Integration, understanding and fellowship amongst regious groups, communities, ethnic groups, culture, languages, and traditions of India and also strengthen through thought and action, nation's sense of solidarity.

AIR correspondents reports, the award has so far given includes . P N Haksar, A P J Abdul Kalam, Shankar Dayal Sharma (Posthumously), noted singer A R rahamn and Ramakrishna Mission Ashram, Narainpur, haatisgarh (jointly) and Mohan Dharia.
