A proposal on Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in the Information and Broadcasting sector will be sent to the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion.Information and Broadcasting Secretary Raghu Menon said that his ministry had received recommendation from Telecom Regulatory Authority of India and these will be forwarded to the concerned department within a month.Menon made it clear that the cap on FDI in the media sector will not be uniform across all segments.
