In Kerala, propitiatory orders have been clamped in and around Anwarssery near Kollam today amidst reports of imminent arrest the PDP leader Abdul Nasser Madani, who is camping there. A Karantaka police team has been camping in Kollam to arrest Madani, accused in 2008 Bangalore blasts case.The Kollam district administration imposed the restrictions under Section 144 as a large number of Madani's supporters converged in the area creating a tense situation. The police had to lob two teargas shells to disperse a crowd in the area. The situation, however, had been brought under control. According to police, the ban orders were enforced in Mainagapally and nearby Sasthacottah panchyats.A strong contingent of police under Kollam SP Harshita Attalluri is camping in the area. Besides, additional contingents of Special Armed Battalion had been sent to the area.
