Home Minister, P. Chidambaram has said that there are promising but not conclusive leads in the Delhi High Court blast. He was talking to reporters in New Delhi today. He said, the leads are being pursued round the clock and the forensic experts are corroborating their findings about the nature of explosives used in the blast.Delhi police have formed three teams to assist National Investigating agency in carrying out the probe of the blast case. The Home Minister said the persons suspected to have sent an e-mail claiming that the High Court blast was carried out by HuJI has been traced and is being questioned. Indian Mujahideen, another terrorist outfit has dismissed the HuJI claim saying that their terror outfit was responsible for the blast.The Home Minister said that it is difficult to say at this juncture if there is any involvement from across the border. But he elaborated that India lives in a troubled neighbourhood as Afghanistan and Pakistan have emerged the epicenters of terrorism.Mr. Chidambaram said that home grown terror modules are also active and it is a wake up call for the country. He added that an alert has been sounded across the country in view of ensuing festival season and the security surveillance is being reviewed.Regarding third mail from a terror outfit for a possible target could be Ahmedabad he said, the state police have been alerted. He said that the government is seeking cooperation from international investigating agencies to crack the codes. Mr. Chidambaram said that he had expected Opposition leaders to show greater bi-partisanship, maturity and statesmanship. He added this was the need of the hour at a time when many people have lost their lives in the terror attack. He admitted that there was a delay in installing CCTVs at High Court complex by the Delhi PWD and a timely decision could have avoided such an incident. Mr. Chidambaram said that providing government jobs to the next of the kin of those killed in the blast is under active consideration of the government and the compensation to them will be provided immediately after the final list is compiled. When asked about the opposition allegations that not a single blast case has been cracked by the investigating agency he said, it is also the duty of the concerned state governments to get a breakthrough. Seeking support of the people Mr. Chidambaram said, it is duty of the every citizen to be alert and report to the police about any suspected activities.
