Prominent leaders L K Advani, Rajnath Singh and V.Narayanasamy file nomination today

Veteran BJP leader L. K. Advani will file his nomination for Gandhinagar Lok Sabha seat today. BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi will accompany him during the filing of nomination. AIR Ahmedabad correspondent reports, Advani has been the MP from Gandhinagar for five times and now contesting for the sixth time to retain the seat . Before filing his nomination papers BJP leader Advani along with Narendra Modi will address the party workers rally.

Meanwhile, senior Congress leader Madhusudan Mistry will also file his nomination papers from Vadodara Lok Sabha seat. Mistry is contesting Vadodara seat against BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi.

In Uttar Pradesh, the BJP President Rajnath Singh today filed his nomination papers from Lucknow Lok Sabha constituency. Flanked by sitting MP Lalji Tandon, Rajnath reached Lucknow collectorate in a procession this morning with thousands of people and filed his papers.

Congress candidate Rita Bahguna Joshi, a sitting MLA from Lucknow, also filed her papers from the seat today. BSP candidate Nakul Dubey filed his papers from the constituency on Friday.

The Minister of State in PM's Office, Mr.V.Narayanasamy of Congress, Mr. R.Radhakrishnan of ruling N.R Congress and AMH Nazeem of DMK are among the candidates, who filed their nominations today for the lone Pudhucherry Lok Sabha seat. They submitted their papers to the District Collector Mr.S.B Deepak Kumar, who is also the Returning Officer. The Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) candidate Mr.RKR Anandaraman also filed his papers today, the last day for filing the nomination.

Mr.M.V.Omalingam of AIADMK and Mr.R.Viswanathan of CPI had already filed their papers. A total 23 candidates including 13 independents have filed their papers so far in the Union Territory. Polling will take place on 24th of this month.
