In Jammu and Kashmir, projects worth over 400 crore Rupees are under execution to upgrade the sports infrastructure in the Union Territory. The projects are being funded by the J&K Infrastructure Development Finance Corporation, JKIDFC. 100 projects of the youth services department, worth over 420 crore rupees, funded by JKIDFC are for upgrading the sports infrastructure in the Union Territory. These include the development of a number of new stadiums in rural areas. JKIDFC was set up by the government in 2018 to plug infrastructural deficiencies in the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir. A senior officer in UT administration said 2,274 languishing projects worth  5,883 crore Rs have been financed under the JKIDFC to fast track their completion.<br />''<span style="color: #000000;"> </span><br />
