Prohibitory orders imposed on NH 37 to prevent harm to wild life

Prohibitory orders have been imposed on National Highway 37 passing through Kaziranga National Park in Assam to prevent any harm to animals migrating for safe shelter during floods.<br/><br/>Animals usually migrate towards Karbi Anglong for safe shelter during floods.<br/><br/>The order also prohibits carrying of firearms, bows and arrows and other lethal weapons, besides stopping of heavy vehicles in front of eateries and blowing of horns within and<br/>near the Kaziranga National Park.<br/><br/>The Park is famed for its one-horned rhinos.
