Progress in talks for foreigner release in Odisha abduction

In Odisha, significant progress has been made in the on going talk between the representatives of Maoists and government to release the foreign national. The state home Secretary U N Behera said the talk is going on in cordial atmosphere and the state government is optimistic that soon they would reach to an amicable solution on the hostage crisis. He said the talk will continue today.

Meanwhile the Chief Minister said that the Maoists who have abducted the sitting young tribal MLA Jhhin Hikaka have categorically mentioned that they do not want to propose any mediator for talk with the government. They have further mentioned in the letter that once their points are met and aired through Radio and published in news papers they will release the MLA.

After the Maoist released one foreign national on Sunday afternoon the peace talk again resumed between the government and Maoist on Monday in Bhubaneswar to secure the release of other foreign national.
