The US President said that the progress in fighting terrorism in Pakistan has not been as quick as one would like to see. He said that it is a problem that exists in Pakistan and has to be addressed. He also urged India and Pakistan to take up first less controversial issues for discussion for building trust between the two neighbours. Interacting with students of St. Xavier's College in Mumbai, President Obama India and Pakistan can prosper and live side by side, this can happen and this should be the ultimate goal. He said that the US can be a partner but cannot impose this process. He expressed hope that the trust between the two countries will be as a peaceful, prosperous and stable Pakistan is in the interest of India, US and world peace.
