Progress in 26/11 trial tackling terrorism to figure prominently in Indo-Pak talks

Progress in the trial of 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks and tackling terrorism will figure prominently in the talks between the Foreign Ministers of India and Pakistan to be held in New Delhi on Wednesday. Pakistan's first woman Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar arrived in the capital on Tuesday afternoon and expressed hope that the two countries can move forward as good neighbours with a stake in each other's future. Talking to media at the airport, she said, the two countries have learnt lessons from history, but are not burdened by history and they understand their responsibilities to the region and within the region.Apart from reviewing the progress made by the two countries on various bilateral issues during the series of meetings, including security, commerce, water and Siachen, External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna and Hina Rabbani will also explore areas to expand the cooperation.Ahead of the crucial talks, the Foreign Secretaries of the two countries reviewed the progress in talks between different ministries and organizations of the two countries in the preceding months. AIR correspondent reports that New Delhi is understood to have handed over the revised list of most wanted fugitives to the Pakistani delegation which carries 48 names. Earlier, the secretaries in the ministries of defence, commerce, home, water resources and surveyor general's met to discuss relevant issues.
