Home Minister P Chidambaram has said that the process to form the state of Telangana will be initiated. Speaking to media in New Delhi late last night, Mr Chidambaram said an appropriate resolution will be moved in Andhra Pradesh assembly for carving out the state of Telangana.<br/> <br/>Telangana Rastra Samiti chief K Chandrasekhara Rao broke his 11 day hunger strike last night after the Centre announced this decision. A frail-looking Rao thanked the Prime Minister, the Congress President, Leader of the Opposition and all other political parties for supporting the cause of Telangana statehood.<br/> <br/>Earlier, responding to the 11-day long hunger strike by Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) leader K. Chandrasekhar Rao and street protests across the Telangana region demanding a separate state, top Congress leaders including Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress president Sonia Gandhi had held a series of meetings through the day to resolve the issue.<br/><br/>
