The proceedings in the Rajya Sabha were disrupted today after the AIADMK raised the 2-G spectrum issue seeking resignation of the Telecom Minister Mr. A. Raja. The DMK members strongly reacted to the demand leading to noisy scenes and heated exchange of words between the Treasury and Opposition benches. Despite repeated pleas by the Chairman, Mohd. Hamid Ansari to restore order in the House, there was no change in the situation. This forced the Presiding Officer to adjourn the House for 15 minutes. The CAG in its draft report released on Monday has allegedly found involvement of the IT Minister in the 2-G spectrum allocation. The reports say it is awaiting the response of the Telecom Minister.
