The Home Ministry has declared the probe ordered by the Delhi government into alleged irregularities in Delhi & District Cricket Association, DDCA, as unconstitutional and illegal. Earlier, the Lt Governor office has said the Delhi government has no jurisdiction or power to set up a Commission of Inquiry under the law. It said the elected government of Delhi is neither the central government nor the state government under the provisions of Commissions of Inquiry Act.
