Probe into H’bad blast gains momentum, special teams visits site

The investigation into Hyderabad twin blasts that claimed 16 lives and injured 117 has picked up momentum with special teams swinging into action.

Teams from National Investigating Agency, NSG, Andhra Pradesh Special Police, Octopus and Forensic experts have collected clues from the blast site. Cyberabad Police Commissioner D.
Tirumala Rao told reporters in Hyderabad that they have gathered enough evidences from the scene of crime. He also called upon public to share information if any regarding suspected perpetrators of the blasts.

Meanwhile, Forensic department in its preliminary report reportedly opined that Aluminium and Ammonium Nitrate were used in the bombs.

Meanwhile, several leaders and senior officials visited Dilsuknagar area to take stock of the situation on the second day of the incident. Union Home Minister Susheel Kumar Shinde, Health Minister Gulam Nabi Azad, Science Technology Minister Jaipal Reddy, BJP President Rajnat Singh and a host of political leaders were among them who visited the blast site.

The health condition of about five persons in different hospitals was stated to be critical while others' condition is almost stable.

A day after the twin blasts incidents rocked the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad, the health condition of at least five persons is stated to be still critical while it is stable in case of rest of the 117 injured persons.

The doctors who treated the injured have noticed that many of them had severe injuries to their lower limbs and led for amputation leading to permanent disability.

Meanwhile, the state Government has decided to provide six lakh rupees ex-gratia to those who get permanent disability in these blasts. The state cabinet has taken a decision at its emergency meeting held today to this affect.

While the special teams are collecting clues to reach perpetrators of the incident, the government is mulling over the long term measures to prevent terror activities. The cabinet has directed the authorities to explore possibilities to set up fast track courts to speed up trail relating to terror activities.
