Haryana Hammers started their campaign on a winning note by defeating Dilli Veers 5-2 in a Pro Wrestling League contest at the KD Jadhav Wrestling Stadium in New Delhi yesterday. Haryana's Olympic bronze medallist Livan Lopez of Cuba gave Haryana the early lead by easily outclassing Delhi's Dinesh Kumar 7-0 in the men's 74kg category. Star grappler Yogeshwar Dutt managed to win his bout against Navruzov Ikhtiyor. World champion and current World No.1 Oksana Herhel defeated Dilli's Yesilirmak Elif Jale in the women's 58kg section. Other winners of Haryana are Geetika Jakhar and Hitender. Captain Vinesh Phogat and Gurpal Singh won their respective bout for the Dilli Veers.
