Pro-regime snipers kills 21 protestors in Yemen

In Yemen, reports quoting medical officials say twenty-one protesters have been killed in the capital, Sanaa on Monday in gunfire by pro-regime snipers.Earlier Al Arabia channel quoting witnesses and doctors reported that at least 26 protesters were killed and nearly five hundred others injured yesterday when Yemeni security forces opened fire to break up one of the biggest demonstrations against President Ali Abdullah Saleh in recent months.Country’s defence ministry has however said that protesters threw petrol bombs, setting a police car ablaze. It blamed leading Islamist opposition party, Islah, for opening fire on the march.Meanwhile, the Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Abdul Latif Al Zayani arrived in Sanaa today to discuss the GCC plan to resolve the political crisis.
