<span style="color: #222222;">Public Relations Officer (PRO) in the prime minister's office and senior journalist Jagdish Thakkar passed away in New Delhi today. Thakkar, 72, who was unwell for some time, passed away at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Prime Minister Narendra Modi has condoled the demise of Thakkar. In a tweet, Mr Modi said, he is extremely saddened by the demise of Jagdish Thakkar. The Prime Minister met the family of late Shri Jagdish Thakkar and expressed condolences on Jagdishbhai's unfortunate demise. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He said Jagdishbhai was a veteran journalist and he had the pleasure of working with him for years, both in Gujarat and in Delhi. The Prime Minister said, he was known for his simplicity and warm-hearted nature and several journalists would have regularly interacted with him over the years.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Mr Modi said, we have lost a wonderful person, who loved his work and did it with utmost diligence.  Mr  Modi also met the family members of Thakkar.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Information and Broadcasting minister Rajyavardhan Rathore has condoled the demise of Thakkar. In his message, Col Rathore described him as a man of simplicity, integrity and devotion to duty. </span><br />''  <br />
