The government had filed an application seeking the court's directions after the federation of self-financed schools refused to accept the proposal of a 25 percent cut in the fees. The division bench said that there was no need for the court to function as an arbitrator as the government has substantial powers under the Disaster Management Act and the Epidemic Diseases Act. Now, the ball is again in the government's court as self-finance schools and parents' associations are sticking to their stand.</span><br />
