In Jammu and Kashmir the private media continued to boycott coverage of Assembly and Council proceedings today over Speaker's alleged remarks that 'Media is under his control.' As soon as the Question Hour began , the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party, BJP and Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party members urged the Speaker to approach the Media to end the boycott . However, the Speaker denied having said anything controversial which prompted the private media to boycott the Assembly proceedings and rejected the Adjournment Motion moved by the Peoples Democratic Party to cancel the business for the day and discuss the issue of Media Boycott.
